Smoov ASRV is the 4-way shuttle that stores and retrieves pallets inside the warehouse. Speed and payload define its handling capacity, while its low profile and compact dimensions maximise storage capacity. It travels on a dedicated rail network, built into the racking below the pallet support surface. It runs on a lithium battery and communicates wirelessly with the Smoov Control System: it therefore requires no power supply lines or data cables, and installation adapts to different layouts.
This connection makes it possible to assign missions and optimise flows without tying shuttles to a specific zone: if one vehicle stops, another takes its place. Charging is managed in the same way, based on battery level, distance, availability and priority, so that energy never becomes a cause of downtime.
Smoov Lift connects the warehouse levels vertically, transferring a pallet, a Smoov ASRV shuttle or both together. It synchronises its cycle with the fleet's through the Smoov Control System: moving between levels never means waiting. It is available in two configurations, integrated and external, which meet different layout and flow requirements.
The external lift has its own structure, separate from the racking, and reaches up to 120 cycles per hour at a speed of 2 m/s, making it suited to complex or high-throughput installations.
The integrated lift, by contrast, is built into the racking, usually in a central position or near the inbound and outbound points, and its compact footprint means fewer pallet positions are lost. In this configuration, Smoov handles the heavier ground-level traffic with its own solution: an engineering choice that takes pressure off the most congested area of the system.
Designed to clearly separate logistics decisions from real-time execution, the Smoov Control System eliminates functional overlaps. Standard API connectors cut the time and cost of ERP integration, without modifying existing systems.
It runs 24/7, with web interfaces accessible via LAN or VPN from PC, tablet and smartphone. 2D and 3D views provide mission status, storage location status, pallet handling requests, fleet supervision and configuration. Diagnostics run on demand, there are no heavy clients to install and updates are centralised.
Its component-based architecture enables horizontal scalability and efficient energy management to maintain fleet availability during peaks. Native resilience mechanisms and PLC-based safety and motion modules ensure operational continuity even in the event of minor faults.
